If you are a witness or victim to a collision, here is what you must do:
Get medical help even in the case of minor injuries.
Contact the police.
Obtain the driver’s license number and insurance information of the vehicles involved in the accident.
Make a note of the names and contact information of any of the witnesses.
Do not admit fault; leave it to the police and insurance adjusters.
If a camera is available, capture the damage and the accident scene.
If vehicles are functional, safely move them aside to avoid blocking traffic.
